Adjunct Instructor teaching Organic Chemistry in the classroom and the laboratory  including  analytical techniques and the practices of  microscale synthesis.

SURFACE COATINGS (RAFFI AND SWANSON)    WILMINGTON, MASSACHUSETTS

Technical Director for Industrial Products. Developed pressure sensitive adhesives; inks, dispersions and industrial coatings; solution and emulsion acrylic polymerizations; custom synthesis and formulation projects. Primary responsibility for design conception, review, guiding projects through laboratory scale, customer evaluation, and initial plant scale up. Member of the company management committee.

TYCO ADHESIVES (KENDALL)    LEXINGTON, MASSACHUSETTS

Research Associate/Manager. Managed the formulation, synthesis, and scale up of pressure sensitive polymers for medical and industrial tape applications. Managed group which developed and improved CURAD(R) first aid products and POLYKEN(R) industrial tapes utilizing natural and synthetic rubbers, acrylic and silicone pressure sensitive adhesives, film and fabric backings. Conducted research on acrylic and vinyl-acrylic emulsion and solution polymerizations for tape applications and provided marketing and plant support.

ROHM AND HAAS   SPRING HOUSE, PENNSYLVANIA

Emulsion polymer scale up of acrylic and vinyl-acrylic polymers for Trade Sales and Industrial Coatings, textiles, floor polish,inks, and non-wovens markets. Development of solution polymers for use as antiwear additives, ashless dispersants and detergents, dewaxing aids, rust inhibitors, and viscosity index improvers.
